On #InVinoFab episode no. 41, we chat with Dr. Jaimie Hoffman (@JaimieLHoffman) who is the Director of Student Affairs and Learning for Noodle Partners where she works with campuses across the nation to create ecosystems of support and engagement that are inclusive of online master’s and doctoral students. Prior to this role, Jaimie served as a full time and adjunct faculty member teaching primarily online courses. For the first 15 years of her career, Jaimie served as a student affairs professional and leader helping student affairs units leverage technology for learner success and mentoring students. Jaimie spends most of her free time wrangling (I mean ... raising) her 3 and 6 year old but also loves CrossFit, traveling, and crafts. Follow her work and connect with her on:

In our conversation, we talked about a few things related to career pivots, specifically around culture, fit, and to think about how you best work. There are so many things about how we work on and off campus these days, including remote work, virtual teaming, and making connections with peers when you are a distributed organization.

“When you’re thinking about the job you’re going to do and how you’re going to spend your days -- you do need to think about what will you be doing during the day and what brings you energy?” says @JaimieLHoffman

It was an interesting perspective on how the transition to a campus partner is like from leaving the campus. We talk about the opportunities to innovate and challenge the norms of how we think about student success and learning in the digital age, and what it means to do this work in higher education from the corporate sector. And we chat a bit about professional identity, values, and interests for career opportunities. Here are some links and resources:
